Comtoise cockerel clock from the time of the French Revolution, around 1793/95, with verge escapement and lead pear pendulum, passing half-hour strike, full-hour strike with repetition on a bell, bowl-shaped enamel dial, signed: Pernet l’aîné hger (horologist/clockmaker) A BEAUNE.
Cast brass decorative piece with Gallic rooster, flanked on both sides by two hens and a Jacobin cap on a pike, surrounded by the union chain (chaîne de l’union), sawn iron hands.
