12-inch Maxi Comtoise from the Directoire period (1795–1799), domed enamel dial with a diameter of 32 cm and a curvature of approximately 3 cm. The dial has numerous fractures that occurred during the manufacturing process and were fused again in subsequent kiln firings. Verge escapement (crown wheel open at the top), half-hour en passant strike and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. The hour hand is screwed onto a thread on the hour pipe (see detail photo).
