Comtoise sunburst clock from the Consulate period around 1800, cast clasp with Apollo head ( without ribbon bow ), underlaid with 12-rayed star, lateral rocailles and central small eagle. 8-day movement with anchor escapement ( 3 ½ teeth overlapping ), pendulum guide on the back and folded pendulum with pendulum bob. Half hour strike en passant and full hour strike with repetition after 2 minutes on bell. Cambered enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic 5 minute numerals. Brass hands.
