9-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum, dating from around 1815/1820. Two-part pressed decorative front plate depicting a sun head above a chalice, framed by side cornucopias from which vines emerge, each holding small lion heads with curved floral garlands in their mouths. The enamel dial with large quarter-hour numerals rests on the brass decorative corners. Half-hour and full-hour strikes are already executed by the strike work with spring pressure (no separate half-hour strike en passant). Pendulum guidance at the front. Sun hands, alarm mechanism.
