Comtoise clock from the Louis Philippe period, circa 1830/35, featuring a small arc anchor escapement and folded pendulum. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. Unique weight-driven striking release mechanism (see detail photos). Two-part embossed decorative plate depicting a Gallic rooster perched on a globe, with cornucopias and oak leaves.
