9-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum, dating from around 1840/1845. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition, strike mechanism activated by spring pressure. Chiseled hands with a five-pointed star. Two-part decorative brass plate with an allegory of fertility and time. Sun head (Apollo) with ribbon above sheaves of bound ears and "HORA FUGIT," surrounded by vine leaves and grapes. In each of the four corners of the decorative plate, a small five-pointed star on a dotted background. Signature: Bargès à Souillac.
