This clock from 1852 still has a strike release through spring pressure. Enamel dial signed: Véritable pièce de Victor Jacquin à Foncine-le-Haut 1852. Victor Jacquin was a manufacturer ('Etablisseur') who referred to his clock as a 'real piece,' likely to distinguish himself from the competition, including other manufacturers and Black Forest clock dealers.
