No. 115 CUM
9-inch Comtoise clock with an extremely long lyre pendulum. Anchor escapement, half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. The pendulum features a plaque with the year 1844. The clock mechanism likely dates from around 1860/65. The year 1844 was obviously added later, likely due to a lack of knowledge about the clock's actual production date. The reason for the exceptionally long pendulum is unclear; it is suspected that the clock was specially made for a specific purpose, perhaps for installation in a particular case.
