No. 537 CUM 10-inch Comtoise month clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from the period around 1845. Three-part ornamental plate, but assembled from parts of two different ornamental plate models. As no separate 10-inch high embossing tool with a lower extension was made for the two-part 9-inch wide lute player motif, the lower approx. 3 cm edge of a 10-inch wide flute player motif was cut off so that it could then be mounted on this month clock.                                          Enamel dial signed: Terrier à la Réole Diameter dial: 215 Cage dimensions: 279 x 249 x 145 HxWxD Movement dimensions: 425 x 250 x 165 HxWxD Chimney 55 Pendulum length: approx. 1320 ( all dimensions in mm ).  Clocks that have been *cut together* with decorative sheet metal parts from two different models are extremely rare! This well-known flute player motif with lower extension can be seen on clock no. 538 CUM on the next page.
