Each month was uniformly divided into 3 decades of 10 days each, i.e. 30 days per month. The days of the decade were numbered from Primidy (first day) to Decady (tenth day). At the end of the year, 5 of the 6 holidays for the revolutionary fighters were added to the 12 months of 30 days each.
