9 inch comtoise clock with anchor escapement and lyre pendulum or folded pendulum from around 1890/1900 with a very rare one-piece pressed decorative front plate depicting a basket as well as ears of grain, roses and flowers. At the lower edge of the decorative plate the letters B W PARIS are stamped. The manufacturer behind the initials B W remains unknown to this day. Date display, half-hour and hour strike on a gong spring with repetition of the hour strike.
Enamel dial with cartouche-framed roman numerals on a light blue ground, signed: RENAULT à Plumaugat et Broons.
