Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1825/1830. Half and full hour strike on bell with repetition of the full strike after 2 minutes. Brass dial embossed in two parts with sun head and ribbon bow over fruit bowl, framed on the sides by acanthus and 2 pine cones, see also clocks No. 38 CUM, No. 314 CUM and No. 461 CUM page 314. Dial with Roman numerals for hours and quarter hours, coloured flower tendril around the place name. Signed: Rozier A BELLEVILLE Special, very rare striking mechanism construction. The hammer axle is not located behind the rear striking mechanism plate as usual, but on a separate axle between the plates.                                                                                                                                                                    Dial diameter: 245
