No. 439 CUM
Comtoise movement with bow anchor and central second hand from the period 1830/1850. Half and full hour strike on bell with repetition on the hour after 2 minutes. The striking mechanism is triggered by spring pressure, i.e. before 1850. Unfortunately, the movement was not complete when it was found. However, the movement is so extremely rare that it was rebuilt with “modern” parts. The author is not aware of any other movement with a bow anchor and central seconds hand.
Central seconds displays on Comtoise clocks are found with the following escapements.
