Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1840/45. Month movement. Half and full hour strike on bell with repetition of the full strike after 2 minutes. Two-part brass embossed dial with sun head and ribbon bow over fruit bowl, framed on the sides by cornucopias, acanthus and palmettes. Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, scalloped floral painting around the place name, signed: Thomas à Jarnac. Date indication. Star hands.
