Nr. 564 CUM
10-inch Comtoise month clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1845/1850, one-piece pressed decorative plate with four identical corner decorations and still visible bead, but the upper corners are already overlaid by parts of the gable scene – the groom putting the ring on his bride’s finger. The embossing tool was executed directly with lower extension, so that the decorative plate could be used for 10-inch movements and, by cutting off the lower extension, also for 9-inch movements. The certainly much wider lower extension of the decorative plate was cut in the middle through the pressed structure to fit the 10-inch movement.
