11-inch Comtoise clock movement with spindle escapement and folded pendulum, half-hour and full-hour strike on gong with repetition, decorative metalwork with approximately 3 cm wide lower extension for an 11-inch case from the period around 1855/60 featuring a religious motif: Jesus at the well with the Samaritan woman. The decorative metalwork is marked: Samaritaine (on the edge at X) and DEPOSE (on the edge at II), polychrome flower painting around the location name.
