No. 502 CUM                                                                                                            Haute-Saône Comtoise clock with pewter dial and fronton from the Louis XV period, circa 1740/1750. Fronton crowned with a small cock and decorated with the typical rococo C-arches. 8-day cable movement with anchor escapement, anchor 3 1/2 teeth overlapping. Pendulum guide on the back inside the cage, spacer and suspension eye for the movement. Rack striking mechanism - scythe rake, with repetition (2nd trigger pin) of the hour strike on bell, lifting nails for the hammer foot, no star wheel. Pewter dial with Roman numerals and Arabic quarter markings.
