9 inch comtoise clock with anchor escapement and lyre pendulum or folded pendulum from around 1870/1880 with a one-piece decorative front plate, in the upper part of which a large basket with 2 birds is embossed. The decorative plate is marked at the top left and right with C N and DEPOSE. C N are the initials of the firm Carl Neufeld from Iserlohn/Germany. After 1871, Carl Neufeld designed, embossed, and delivered many decorative plates to comtoise manufacturers in and around Morez. Half-hour and hour strike on gong with repetition of the hour strike.
