Comtoise clock from the time of Napoleon I, around 1800.
Central seconds hand with pin escapement (Amant).
Three weights, quarter-hour striking (Grand Sonnerie) on three bells, repetition of the hour strike.
Republican calendar with date indications from 2 to 30.
Dish-shaped enamel dial with Minuterie à la Dauphin (arcaded minute track).
Sun pointer featuring an embossed face of the sun god Apollo (see detail photo).
Brass cast ornamentation with a sun head, volutes, grapes, and an empty medallion.

The seconds hand was renewed, and the original date hand was apparently replaced earlier with a steel Breguet hour hand (from around 1850/1860).
