9-inch Comtoise clock with a small bow anchor and scythe rake, dating to around 1835/40. Equipped with an alarm mechanism. Half-hour and full-hour strikes on a bell with repetition, an early type of weight-driven strike release. Two-part embossed brass decorative plate featuring a sun face (Apollo), fruit bowl, acanthus, and cornucopias.
