Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1840/45. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition of the hour strike. Weight-driven strike release. Two-part embossed decorative plate with a sun face motif above a cup flanked by acanthus leaves, and four flowers in the corners. Breguet hands and minute disk with embossed, ornate surfaces.
