No. 86 CUM

Comtoise clock with Lyra pendulum and a side-mounted cylinder music box from around 1855/60. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition.
The music box plays hourly—either, adjustable, the same tune repeatedly or one of six different tunes. This clock was designed and built as a musical clock; however, the music box is a standard mechanism originally manufactured for wooden cases. The drive is operated via cord winding.
Brass-embossed decorative plate with a harvest motif. Date display.
