Comtoise clock with anchor escapement and single folded pendulum with large pendulum bob, narrow embossed brass bezel 16 mm wide, half and full hour strike on bell with repetition of the full strike after 2 minutes, enamel dial with extra large black Roman numerals and large date numerals, as the clock was probably used as a “public” clock. Signature: Jn Bte Souchon Hger du Chemin de Fer 1874 (Jean Baptiste Souchon watchmaker of the railroad 1874).
