No. 444 CUM Comtoise clock from the Louis XVI period, circa 1775/1780 from the Haute-Marne region. Movement on the right, striking mechanism on the left. Anchor escapement with small side-mounted gable anchor (see detailed photo). Rack striking mechanism ( arched rake ) mounted on going train plate. Hour strike on bell - no half hour strike. Rear pendulum outside the cage, thorn-shaped spacers and suspension bracket as usual for lantern clocks. Plate-like enamel dial, sawn brass fronton and decorative corners.
