Haute Saône Comtoise from around 1700/1720. 8-day movement with anchor escapement and lead bob pendulum. Hour strike on bell. Going train on the right, striking train on the left. Large arched rack mounted on the front of the going train plate. Pendulum suspension on a small gallows behind the back panel of the case, so the pendulum swings outside the cage. Suspension bracket and 2 spacers. Brass numeral ring. Signed on the ring around the hand arbor in the upper part: A E V I L (?), and in the lower part: J B DVCASTEL (Jean Baptiste Ducastel). Signed on the winding hole covers: C Jacquot a Vesoul. Sawed pediment and hands.
