7-inch Comtoise alarm clock from the Restoration period, around 1825/30. Time movement with verge escapement and folded pendulum, and alarm mechanism. Two-part embossed decorative plate with a sun face and winged dragons. The embossing is exceptionally detailed, as seen only in such early decorative plates. Enamel dial with quarter-hour markings. Breguet-style iron hands.
