No. 462 CUM

Comtoise with bow anchor and folded pendulum from around 1825/30. Half hour and full hour strike on bell with repeater, scythe rake. Front full plate made of brass for going and striking train, rear bar plates made of iron. All movement parts are marked with number 64. Two-part embossed decorative plate with cornucopia and sunburst, the division not at III and IX, but between the square dial surround and the upper part. The upper part, which is pushed under the dial surround, has 4 sheet metal lugs, whereby the 4 screws then hold both the sheet metal lugs and the surround in place. ( Compare also with No. 349 CUM / Clock No. 49 and with No. 425 CUM / Clock No. 197 as well as with Clock No. 1381/band 1 ). There must have been 2 stamping tools for the upper parts as well as for the square lower parts, because both the upper parts, e.g. different Apollo heads, and the square lower parts, single and double bezel, differ from each other, as the clock illustrated here shows. This means that there were 4 tools in total, so that there may have been 4 different combinations of brass shields.

Sun hands with decorated surfaces. Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and small Arabic numerals for the quarters.
