Comtoise clock from the Restoration period, circa 1825/30, with the time mechanism on the right and the striking mechanism on the left (see detail photos). Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. Two-part embossed brass decorative plate featuring two dragons igniting a palm leaf standing on a column. This symbolizes the victory of good (palm leaf) over evil (dragons).
