9-inch Comtoise clock with anchor escapement and folded pendulum from around 1825/30. Half-hour and full-hour striking on a bell with repetition, scythe rack. The front full plate is made of brass for the going and striking trains, while the rear rod plates are made of iron. All movement parts are marked with the number 49. Two-part pressed decorative plate with cornucopias and sun face, where the division is not at III and IX but between the square dial frame and the upper part. The upper part, inserted under the dial frame, has four metal tabs, with four screws holding both the tabs and the frame securely. (See also the illustration of clock No. 1381.) The embossing tools for the upper parts of the two clocks are not identical, as the two models differ slightly in nuances. Sun-shaped hands with decorated surfaces. Enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and small Arabic quarter-hour numerals, signed: Encely à Toulouse.
